Election commissions of Belarus, Türkiye plan to sign cooperation memorandum

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) - The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus and the Supreme Election Council of Türkiye are set to sign a memorandum of cooperation, CEC Chairman Igor Karpenko told BelTA.

"We are currently preparing a memorandum of cooperation with the Supreme Election Council of Türkiye. In the near future, on the sidelines of the International Electoral Forum in Kyrgyzstan, we will discuss its provisions. In the autumn, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference in Minsk, which we plan to hold as the final event of our chairmanship of the CIS Advisory Council [of Heads of Electoral Bodies], we intend to sign this agreement with my Turkish counterpart," Igor Karpenko stated.
