Mikhail Vysotsky

Mikhail Vysotsky was an outstanding scientist and engineer specializing in mechanics and complex design of mobile equipment, Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Hero of Belarus. He was known as the father of the domestic automobile industry, developer of new models of cargo and passenger vehicles in Belarus. Mikhail Vysotsky worked as General Engineer of BelAvtoMAZ for many years. He developed the concept of a modern long-distance road train. After becoming the head of the United Institute of Machine Building, he managed to bring together representatives of country's leading enterprises. A memorial plaque with his bas-relief was installed on the facade of the Institute.
